A graduate of The New York Institute of Photography, William’s keen eye and darkroom skills have earned him numerous awards in excellence. His passion for photography began during childhood when he bought his first camera - a Kodak Brownie - and continued throughout the years, spending spare time in his basement darkroom while operating his eponymous plumbing and heating company in his hometown of Greenwich, Connecticut.

Having made the transition from film to digital in 2007, William currently enjoys shooting landscapes in HDR and long exposure using a Nikon D850 DSLR with an array of premium quality lenses. He’s also added interiors photography to his repertoire, working closely with his daughter, Meg Lavalette, founder of New York City based Interior Design firm, LAVA interiors.

William’s work has been in numerous exhibits and was selected from a field of thousands for the 2015 Gettysburg Foundation calendar.

William resides in Cos Cob with his wife, Lynn, and their two cats, Cooper & Daphne.
